It's been two weeks since my last Blog....and the time has flown by!  Do Events have been busy with Teddington flag mania and everyone seems to be getting into the Jubilee spirit. Flags have gone up in High Street and Broad Street over the last week and today they have started appearing in Stanley Road and Waldegrave Road.  So well done to all the Teddington Business Community  (TBC) Flag Team - they look super!

We visited Teddington Cricket Club this week and are really looking forward to holding an event there later this summer at their fantastic club house to celebrate the Olympic Road Races, which will be travelling through Teddington. The evening celebrations will be the finale to a day of Heath & Fitness events being held by the TBC. If you would like to be involved please contact me or one of the TBC team for more information. Tickets will be on sale for the events soon.

Teddington CC also have their own marquee, perfect for weddings and parties - contact Do Events or TCC for more information on their facilities or to discuss your party and wedding planning needs.

Do Events is delighted to announce that we will be holding a Quiz and Live Entertainment Night at The Lensbury in September.  The fantastic Love Handles will be performing live and tickets will be on sale for the evening in July.  WATCH THIS SPACE FOR MORE INFO!

Finally, Don't Forget to buy your tickets for The Lensbury Black Tie Summer Ball, taking place on Friday 22 June.  This event promises to be a fantastic night with live entertainment from the talented singer / songwriter Katy Shotter, dancing till 1am, fireworks and delicious food.  To book your tickets or for more information, please call The Lensbury on 0208 6146444.

It's going to be a really busy and exciting summer of events and we hope that you will be able to come along too and join in the fun!

May the 4th be with you....

So May is here, but unfortunately still is the rain!  Hope it hasn't dampened your events and let's keep our fingers crossed that the sun shines on Bank Holiday Monday.

As the wedding and party season is now in full swing, do check out what Do Events Limited can do for you.  If you are planning to hold an event, Do Events can take the stress and strain out of the planning process, negotiate the best deals with suppliers and add that special something to make your event or wedding a little bit different.  We have a fantastic and growing list of tried and tested suppliers who also want to make your celebration perfect. We are really pleased to welcome our newest supplier on board, the fabulous Cake Magic. Joanna Haines creates the most spectacular cakes for weddings, corporate events and private celebrations.

We have had such fun this week and have met lots of new friends.  We were lucky enough to be invited along to attend On The Lot at Teddington Studios a fantastic showcase of Pinewood's finest business partners.  We met up with the lovely Bands r us who source and supply live music for the events industry.  Last night we saw the fabulous Didjitalis play at The Exhibit in Balham.  I stumbled across this eclectic foursome, well 2 of them, in Lyme Regis, where they were 'busking' on the seafront.  I was drawn to them by Mike Edwards the Didgeridoo player, who was accompanied by Harry Coade on keyboard and sampler...he in fact sampled my sons scooter bell and instantly made the most amazing ambient sound out of this unlikely mix of 'instuments'!
Today we visited The Lensbury in Teddington a fantastic venue for weddings, conferences or private parties and we look forward to working with them on future events.
Let's hope the rain stops now so that we can get back outside over the weekend...

We are off next week to make some new connections at 'On The Lot' a showcase event for suppliers and tenants at Pinewood, Shepperton and Teddington Studios.  Let me know if you are coming along too?
